There has been a spate of interest in neurofeedback in recent decades. Once normative brainwave data was established, neurofeedback gained popularity and credibility as a viable treatment option for a number of conditions.
Neurofeedback training involves first understanding the client’s brainwaves and seeing how they look like. Investigating brainwaves helps determine whether the client is suffering from over-arousal and/or under-arousal symptoms. This will, thereby, help determine neurofeedback treatment approaches.
